On July 4th, we revisit the anniversary of America's independence and celebrate the rights and freedoms on which it was founded. President Lincoln rightly called the Declaration of Independence “a rebuke and a stumbling-block to tyranny and oppression.” It continues to inspire us and people around the world to fight and work tirelessly for freedom and equality.
In a year when our country is torn by violence and unrest, remembering America's founding principles is as important and solemn as ever. I hope you and your loved ones have an opportunity to peacefully reflect on America's rich history, and how we can help redeem its promise of liberty and equal treatment under the law for all.
